Take the Time – Honor Your Exceptional Field Employees During Construction Week ‘18!

posted in: Events, Industry Advocacy | 0

As we wrote about a few weeks ago, Construction Week ’18 will be celebrated Oct. 1-5, 2018.  During Construction Week, we will “shine the spotlight” on exceptional field workers of our member firms on social media and in our communication pieces.

Showing appreciation for your co-workers and employees can sometimes be difficult—not because you don’t want to, but you don’t think about doing it during the regular hustle and bustle of a 40+ hour work week.  Luckily, we’ve made the process as simple as can be.  We are asking members of Master Builders of Iowa to submit exceptional field staff to have the spotlight on them!  We will be posting all submissions sporadically throughout Construction Week 2018 on our Facebook and Twitter feeds.  We will also be creating a photo gallery of all submissions on our website and they will be featured in the Winter Edition of the InsideMBI magazine.

Simply email the Submission Form and a photo of your exceptional field worker to Aly Schmidt!  Please limit your submissions to 5 individuals per company (MBI member firms only).

There are a multitude of other ways to show your appreciation for your employees and to celebrate Construction Week, including:

  • Handing out promotional items like Construction Week coozies, shirts, and hard hat stickers to your employees and co-workers is a great way to celebrate Construction Week. If you’re interested in ordering any of these items, please visit the online store by August 10 by clicking here.
  • Hold a company celebration (breakfast, lunch, break or outing)
  • Contact a local media outlet to speak about the importance of Construction Week

Or, choose to get creative and come up with your own celebration idea! Whatever you choose, be sure to share your ideas and pictures with us by using #ConstructionWeek18 in your social media posts, and by emailing them to aschmidt@mbi.build. The bottom line is, there is not just one way that you “should” celebrate Construction Week.  Have fun, get creative, and show our state that this is the best industry to be a part of!
