Dear High School Counselors and Teachers,
On this day, the day that hearts can be seen in every direction, the day that flower companies wait all year for, we wanted to send you a love note of our own. Many of you probably know one of us. We’re probably your neighbor, your relative and your friend.
We want to say thank you. Thank you for having the most important profession of all. For preparing our youth to enter the ‘real world,’ for doing it happily and, for the most part, without a thank you.
As an industry, we have been working to develop a closer relationship with each of you in our communities and we thank you for being open to this and welcoming us into your classrooms. We appreciate everything you do to help each and every student that walks through your door, and we appreciate that you consider what we are so proud to do day in and day out, as a career option for your students.
Our industry offers high paying jobs and ranks high in job satisfaction, but we don’t have enough conversations with you about our wonderful industry and the opportunities that are bursting from the seams for the youth in our communities. There are options for every student. From those who want to enter the workforce immediately after high school, to those who want to attend a 4-year college or a 2-year technical school.
We are so happy to be growing this relationship we have been developing and we look forward to what the future holds. Happy Valentine’s Day!
